Growing and Eating

The children have enjoyed many gardening projects this year, especially when they can eat the results! The “Scented Garden” topic gave us the chance to really use our senses. Our freshly harvested potatoes and chives made delicious potato salad, and our cress was used to make scrumptious sandwiches. Old dried peas were well watered and sprouted tasty pea shoots which we nibbled on in class and the new herb garden has introduced us all to lots of new smells and flavours.
