AUTUMN DAYS SING ALONG

We celebrate Holy Spirit’s 50th Birthday

A great pleasure to visit Holy Spirit on Wednesday morning and meet some of the congregation and visiting clergy celebrating Holy Spirit’s 50th birthday.

Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 entertained with an enthusiastic repertoire of Autumn hymns and songs and some regular favourites such as “All things bright and beautiful!” and “Water of Life!”

Reception’s Autumn recitation was very well done!

Year 1 and Year 2’s class contributions – “Harvest Samba”, “One little voice”, “Poor King” and “Let it go!” were big hits!

Miss Watson, our Wednesday music teacher, led the children in “Summer Goodbye!”

On Friday, we received a letter in school from a lady who wrote that she could not remember when she had last enjoyed herself so much!

In our school, we believe that everyone has a singing voice.  Every child, from reception onwards, attends the local music festival.  Miss Watson brings us her excellent, specialist music skills every Wednesday morning, and in addition to class singing, we end the week with our Friday ‘Sing Along’ assemblies combining some traditional hymn practice with some funny songs – singing and laughing together!

We make a joyful noise!
